Materials & Sustainability

PakNature is focused on helping bakeries and foodservice providers move away from aluminum, conventional plastic, and standard paper toward compostable, biodegradable, recyclable, and lower-impact alternatives.

Our Materials

Bagasse

Sugarcane pulp — 100% compostable, made from a fast-renewing agricultural byproduct.

Greaseproof Paper

Compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable depending on application.

Bamboo

Bamboo Pulp - Made from one of the fastest-growing renewable resources.

CPET (Crystallized Polyethylene Terephthalate)

A more eco-friendly alternative to aluminum and conventional plastics — recyclable, with freezer-to-oven performance.

Kraft Paper

Organic, renewable wood pulp — recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable.

Aluminum & PET/PP/PLA/ABS

Available where required for specific performance needs — used selectively alongside our core sustainable materials.

Coatings & Compostability

Coating Options

Depending on your product's moisture and grease requirements, our paper and pulp products can be supplied uncoated, or with PLA coating (biodegradable), aqueous coating (fully compostable, used for lower heat/grease requirements), or PET coating (used only where maximum grease and moisture resistance is required).

What 'Compostable' Means

Our bagasse, bamboo, and kraft paper products are certified compostable and biodegradable — including OK Compost and TÜV Austria HOME certification on select materials. This means they break down naturally without leaving persistent waste, unlike conventional plastic and aluminum packaging.

Our Certifications

BRCGS Packaging Materials, ISO 22000 Food Safety, and TÜV Austria OK Compost HOME certification badges held by PakNature
